Hyderabad: A man who allegedly tried to commit theft at a house is suspected to have died after slipping down from the window of a building at Nampally on Sunday night.

The man, who is yet to be identified, had allegedly sneaked into a building behind Gandhi Bhavan where some construction workers were staying. The occupants of the building told the police that a little after midnight, they noticed a man rushing towards the window on the first floor. Before they could catch him, he fell down from the first floor.

“The labourers told us that they thought the man was drunk and would wake up and go away in the morning. However, he was found dead in the morning,” said Inspector Begum Bazaar, G Vijay Kumar.

The police registered a case of suspicious death. Based on the autopsy report if needed the sections of the case will be altered, said the official.
