Hyderabad: Thieves break into Gattu Maisamma temple in Ghatkesar, decamp with cash from six ‘hundis’

As per available information, two suspects were captured by the surveillance cameras installed in the temple premises and surroundings.

Hyderabad: Thieves broke into the Gattu Maisamma temple at Ghatkesar in the suburb and decamped with cash from the six ‘hundis’ on Friday early morning.


As per available information, two suspects were captured by the surveillance cameras installed in the temple premises and surroundings.

Around 1.30 am on Friday, two unidentified persons entered into the compound and broke open the hundis placed in front of the deity and took away the cash.

The temple authorities who noticed the hundi broke open in the morning, alerted the cops.

The Ghatkesar police reached the spot and examined the CCTV footage. The worth of the stolen property was to be estimated.

Based on a complaint, a case was booked and being investigated.
