Hyderabad: Thieves struck at a businessman’s house at Road No. 22 in Jubilee Hills and reportedly decamped with diamond and gold ornaments worth Rs 75 lakh and some foreign currency on Sunday.
The incident occurred when the house owner GV Shekhar Reddy, a real estate business owner, had locked the house and gone to attend a wedding.
Police said the thieves opened the almirah and decamped with the valuables. The incident came to light when the family returned home.
The Jubilee Hills police are investigating. The family suspects three women domestic helps in the house, who had been missing since the incident was reported. Efforts are on to nab them.
