Hyderabad: Three persons were arrested by the Jagadgirigutta police in connection with the murder of an auto driver at Jagadgirigutta on Wednesday.
The arrested are T Bala Showreddy (21), Syed Mahamood (28) and Revo Aditya alias Adil (26), all residents of Jagadgirigutta.
According to N Koti Reddy, DCP (in charge of Balanagar zone), the victim Roshan Kumar Singh and the prime suspect Bala were having a long-standing rivalry. A rowdy sheet is maintained against Bala at Jagathgirigutta, while Roshan was a rowdy sheeter of Balanagar police station.
“Initially, Bala was having a rivalry with one Shareef over some issues and Roshan Singh was supporting Shareef. When Bala asked Roshan Singh not to interfere, the latter did not obey him, leading to animosity between them,” said N Koti Reddy.
Bala, along with his associates Mahamood and Adil, planned to eliminate Roshan and awaited an opportunity. “To execute his plan, Bala procured a big knife and on Wednesday, along with his associates, caught Roshan Ali and indiscriminately stabbed him,” the DCP said.
Roshan somehow managed to escape from the spot and rushed to hospital. However, he later died during treatment.
The Jagathgirigutta police, with the help of Cyberabad Special Operations Team, caught the trio. All of them have been arrested and remanded.
