Hyderabad: Three of inter-state drug peddling gang arrested

Hyderabad: The Kulsumpura police nabbed three members of interstate drug peddling gang and seized 16 kg of marijuana from them here on Friday.
The arrested persons were Vikas Jadav alias Avinash (22) of Karnataka, N.Manikanta (27) from Adikmet and K.Satish (24) of Bidar. Two suspects, Satya Vishu from Adikmet and Anand from Vijayawada, were absconding.
According to Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, Vikas was involved in drug peddling cases earlier and was arrested and jailed as well.
“After coming out of the jail, he met the other gang members and offering them a commission, they started drug peddling. They procured marijuana from Satya and Anand at lower rates and sold them to customers in Hyderabad for higher rates,” Anjani Kumar said.
A few days ago, the gang procured 16 kg of marijuana and packed it into three bags to sell it to customers at different locations in the city. They started on their bikes to sell drugs at Puranapul area, when they were caught by the Kulsumpura police at Jiyaguda. They were handed over to the Mangalhat police, who produced them before court.
