Hyderabad: Sports Village Academy is set to add more infrastructures with new tennis and football academies. The foundation stone was laid by Chevella Legislator Kale Yadaiah and former Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao for the football and tennis academies at Aziz Nagar on the outskirts of Hyderabad, on Thursday.
The academy will have six clay courts and a football ground spread over two acres. Sports Village Academy will conduct training sessions all through the year once the academy comes up. It will also organise international camps by overseas football and tennis coaches. “The Sports Village Academy, founded in 2015, has been conducting camps and training sessions for young football and tennis players with national and international coaches at various places in the city. Now they will have an academy of their own. Apart from six clay courts, the football ground will be ideal for seven-a-side football. Two of the courts will be earmarked for underprivileged kids,” said Mohd Shamsuddin, founder-director of the Sports Village Academy.
