Hyderabad to host LFC-2 MMA championship on August 22

Hyderabad: Hyderabad is set to host the second edition of the Legacy Fighting Championship (LFC-2), a premier Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event, on August 22 at the Katedan Sports Complex here.
The event will feature top domestic and international fighters, promising an exciting showcase of competitive MMA action.
Ahead of the championship, Sheikh Khalid, Joint Secretary of the National Mixed Martial Arts Association, met K Shivasena Reddy, Chairman of SATG, at LB Stadium and invited him to attend the event as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Shivasena Reddy congratulated the organisers for bringing an international-standard MMA championship to Hyderabad.
Shivasena Reddy said MMA has gained significant popularity across the world and expressed confidence that hosting such events in Hyderabad would provide valuable exposure and opportunities for local athletes. He also appealed to sports enthusiasts, martial arts fans and athletes from Telangana to attend the event in large numbers and encourage the participants.
The LFC-2 championship will feature a total of 24 fighters, including 12 international competitors, three fighters from Telangana and several prominent athletes from other Indian states. The organisers said the event is expected to offer thrilling bouts and promote the growth of MMA in Telangana and across the country.
The meeting was attended by Syed Talha, CEO of Octa Oracle MMA Promotions Pvt Ltd, Mohammed Bilal, Executive Director, Rahman, Managing Director, and other officials.
