Hyderabad top cop Sajjanar calls for AI-driven vigilance to combat corruption

Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar emphasised the need to establish an Artificial Intelligence (AI-based) Task Force within the Vigilance Department to enhance transparency and efficiency in curbing corruption and irregularities.
Speaking as the chief guest at the Vigilance Awareness Week programme held at Singareni Bhavan on Friday, Sajjanar said systemic reforms and the use of technology are vital to eliminating corruption.
                            
                
    
“Flawed procedures often lead to irregularities. Strengthening systems and adopting technology-driven practices can ensure transparency and accountability,” he noted.
Recalling his long association with Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), Sajjanar praised the company’s growth under CMD N. Balram, highlighting its transformation into a globally competitive organisation. He further urged employees to continuously enhance their skills and embrace change to stay ahead in the evolving business environment.
Balram outlined SCCL’s expansion plans across ten Indian states and its vision to explore global opportunities in the mining sector.
