Hyderabad: With the temperatures slowly increasing and the onset of summer in the city, the demand for split ACs has risen and Hyderabad is among the top three cities.
Among the eight tier-1 cities in the country, Hyderabad, along with Mumbai and Delhi has contributed to almost 61 per cent of the total demand generated for split ACs, says the latest Just Dial Consumer Insights.
The report points out that when compared to window ACs, split ACs dominated with almost 90 per cent of searches. This, according to the insights, is because of the marginal price difference with window ACs. It also said that in the last three months, demand for split ACs in tier-2 cities was 12 per cent higher than tier-1 cities. Similar trends were also observed for invertors as well. While demand at a pan-India level remained stable, searches in Tier-II towns and cities zoomed past Tier-I by 34 per cent, the report says.
Demand for AC repair services also picked with the onset of the summer season. Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad were the top-3 Tier-I cities that saw maximum demand for AC repair services while Visakhapatnam, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Vadodara were the top-5 Tier-II cities where AC repair services were in great demand.
