Hyderabad: Traffic advisory released for Int’l Kite and Sweet Festival at Parade Grounds

Traffic restrictions and special parking arrangements will be in place in Secunderabad from January 13–15 for the International Kite and Sweet Festival at Parade Grounds. Shuttle services, designated parking, and alternative transport are advised to ease congestion

Hyderabad: Traffic restrictions and special parking arrangements will be in place in Secunderabad from January 13 to 15 in view of the International Kite and Sweet Festival at Parade Grounds.

Malkajgiri Traffic Police said vehicle movement between CTO Cross Roads, Plaza Junction and Tivoli Junction may be regulated or diverted between 10 am and 10 pm based on crowd density.


Motorists are likely to face congestion at major junctions including CTO, Plaza, Tivoli, Picket, Secunderabad Club, NCC, YMCA, SBI, Sweekar Upkar, Balamrai, Tadbund and surrounding areas.

The general public has been advised to avoid roads around Parade Grounds during festival hours. Commuters heading to Secunderabad Railway Station and Jubilee Bus Station have been asked to start early and prefer Metro Rail services.

Designated parking facilities have been arranged at Gymkhana Exhibition Ground, Gymkhana Cricket Ground, Sports Authority of Telangana State premises and Dhobighat.

Also a shuttle service will operate from Dhobighat to Parade Grounds. Ride-hailing users have been asked to use pick-up and drop-off points at Paradise Metro Station, Tivoli, SBI and Sweekar Upkar Junctions. The Malkajgiri Traffic Police requested to citizens to cooperate and said updates would be shared through official channels.

An emergency traffic helpline – 8712662999 has been activated.
