Hyderabad: Traffic constable injured as speeding scooter rider rams into him and escapes in Choutuppal

A traffic constable in Choutuppal was injured after a speeding scooter rider rammed into him during vehicle checks and fled. Constable Prakash was rushed to hospital for treatment. Police registered a case and are working to identify and nab the rider.

Hyderabad: A traffic constable was injured when a scooter rider rammed into him and escaped during vehicle checking at Choutuppal on Tuesday evening.

The incident happened when the policeman tried to stop the scooter rider who was driving at a high speed. When he did not stop, the constable Prakash tried to stop the scooter. However, the rider who is yet to be identified, hit the constable and sped away.

The constable suffered injuries in the incident and was rushed by his colleagues to a hospital where he is undergoing treatment. A case is registered against the scooter rider and efforts are on to nab him.
