Hyderabad: Traffic cops book over 900 drunk driving cases in a week
Majority of the individuals aged between 21 and 40 years, while two-wheelers account for 805 of the cases, say police

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police booked a total of 928 drunken driving cases during a special drive conducted at various locations across the city from June 7 to 13.
According to the traffic police, majority of the individuals were aged between 21 and 40 years, while two-wheelers accounted for 805 of the cases. All individuals booked were male.
Officials said no minors or heavy vehicles were involved. BAC levels ranged from 30 mg to over 300 mg per 100 ml, with the highest number of cases in the 51–100 mg range.
Traffic officials said the enforcement drive was part of continued efforts to ensure road safety and reduce traffic violations across the city.
