Hyderabad: Traffic curbs in place from Aug 27 to Sept 6 for ‘Khairatabad Bada Ganesh’ festivities
The Hyderabad Traffic Police has announced traffic diversions and parking arrangements in view of the Khairatabad Bada Ganesh installation. Restrictions will be in place from August 27 to September 6. Commuters are advised to use public transport and carpooling
Hyderabad: In view of the installation of the Khairatabad Bada Ganesh, the Hyderabad Traffic Police has announced traffic restrictions.
The restrictions will be in force daily from August 27 to September 6, between 11 am and late night, depending on the movement of devotees.
Accordingly, vehicles towards Mint Compound via Rajiv Gandhi Statue will be diverted to Nirankari junction, and vehicles from Saifabad Old PS towards Bada Ganesh via Rajdoot Lane will be diverted to Iqbal Minar.
Similarly, vehicles from Iqbal Minar towards IMAX Theatre via Mint Compound will be diverted at Secretariat Temple ‘X’ road towards Telugu Thalli junction, and vehicles from Necklace Rotary towards Mint Compound will be diverted to Telugu Thalli junction or Khairatabad flyover.
Likewise, traffic from Nirankari via Khairatabad Post Office lane towards Khairatabad railway gate will be diverted to Saifabad Old PS junction.
Traffic snarls are expected at Khairatabad, Shadan College, Nirankari, Saifabad Old PS, Mint Compound, and Necklace Rotary junctions. Commuters are advised to avoid these stretches.
Parking arrangements:
Visitors from Necklace Rotary and NTR Gardens side can park vehicles at Race Road, NTR Ghat, HMDA parking beside IMAX Theatre, open space opposite IMAX Theatre, and Saraswathi Vidya Mandir High School premises.
Visitors from Khairatabad junction side can park vehicles at Vishweshwaraiah Bhavan.

Use public transport wherever possible.
Opt for carpooling instead of individual vehicles to reduce congestion.
