Hyderabad Traffic Police announce diversions for Bonalu processions
Hyderabad Traffic Police announced extensive diversions and parking arrangements across Karwan, Amberpet, Chilkalguda and Old City areas on August 8–10 for Bonalu processions. Key roads including Charminar and Lal Darwaza will be closed, RTC buses rerouted, and designated parking provided at multiple grounds and terminals.

Hyderabad: The City Traffic Police have announced extensive traffic diversions and parking arrangements in view of Bonalu celebrations and processions across older parts of the city including Karwan, Amberpet and Chilkalguda on August 9 and 10.
In the old city, major restrictions will be in force from 6 am on August 9 until the conclusion of the procession, and from 9 am on August 10 until the celebrations conclude. The road connecting Madina X Roads to Engine Bowli via Gulzar House, Charminar, Himmatpura, Nagulchinta and Aliabad will remain completely closed to vehicular traffic during the processions.
Several routes approaching Lal Darwaza, Charminar, Aliabad, Nagulchinta, Gowlipura, Moghalpura, Mirchowk, Nayapool and surrounding areas will be diverted. Heavy vehicles approaching Chatrinaka from Old Chandrayangutta will also be diverted towards Santoshnagar and Chandrayangutta.
The police have designated parking facilities at locations including Devi Plywood area at Shahlibanda, Alka Theatre open ground, Arya Vaishya Mandir, VDP School Ground, Mithra Sports Club, Sree Venkateswara Temple premises, Phoolbagh Chaman Ground and Charminar Bus Terminal. Procession vehicles will be parked in a single line at Delhi Gate.
Officials said RTC buses will not be permitted towards Charminar, Falaknuma and Nayapul and will terminate at locations including Old CBS, Afzalgunj, Darulshifa X Roads, Chatrinaka and Engine Bowli, before taking alternate routes.
Karwan Bonalu:
For the Sri Sri Sri Darbar Maisamma Bonalu celebrations and elephant procession from Sabji Mandi, Karwan, to Nalla Pochamma Temple, traffic restrictions will operate from 9 pm on August 8 to August 10 morning.
Diversions will be implemented around Puranapool, Jiyaguda, Tappachabutra, Karwan, Tallagadda. Parking has been arranged at the Government Primary and High School Ground for two-wheelers.
Amberpet Bonalu:
At Mahankali Temple, Amberpet, traffic diversions will be in force from 6 am on August 9 to noon on August 10. Vehicles travelling between Uppal and Chaderghat and MGBS will primarily use the Amberpet flyover.
Additional diversions will be activated if traffic congestion builds up near the flyover or Saldhana Gate, with alternate routes through Mallikarjuna Nagar, D.D. Colony, Shivam Road, Tilaknagar, Ali Café and Nagole Road.
Chilkalguda Bonalu:
Traffic restrictions will also be imposed around Katta Maisamma–Pochamma Temple, Chilkalguda, from 5 am to 11 pm on August 9 and 10.
Vehicles from Sitaphalmandi Junction towards Chilkalguda X Road will be diverted via Namalagundu and Warasiguda, while traffic from Allugaddabavi and Secunderabad towards Sitaphalmandi will be diverted towards Padmaraonagar.
