Hyderabad traffic police crack down on fake number plates

Hyderabad Traffic Police registered six criminal cases in a week-long crackdown on vehicles with fake or tampered number plates, warning that only government-approved High Security Registration Plates are valid.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police booked six criminal cases in the past week during a crackdown on vehicles using fake, tampered and unauthorised number plates.

Police said only government-approved High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) are legal and warned that those using fake or altered number plates will face cases and seizure of vehicles.
