Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police facilitated the transport of live organs in the city on Wednesday by providing green channels on two instances.

In first case, the Traffic Police facilitated non-stop transport of a live heart from Kamineni Hospital in LB Nagar to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills. The ambulance covered the 30 kilometre distance in 27 minutes.

In second instance, an ambulance carrying lungs went from Kamineni Hospital to KIMS Hospital, Begumpet. The distance of 17.6 kilometres was covered in 18 minutes. The Traffic Police have facilitated the transport of live organs 17 times so far this year.
