Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police have intensified preparations for the upcoming Ganesh festival and immersion processions, with a focus on ensuring smooth traffic flow, public safety and effective crowd management across the city.
As part of the arrangements, senior officials have asked zonal officials to identify and inspect idol procession routes, verify flyover and underpass clearances and prepare traffic diversion plans.
Special attention is being given to Ganesh idol sales points and pandals, while additional arrangements are being planned for devotees visiting the Khairatabad Ganesh idol.
The Traffic Police will deploy adequate manpower and make arrangements for barricading, signage, temporary toilets, parking facilities and public address systems.
Officers have also been instructed to ensure that pending road repairs and pothole-filling works are completed before the processions.
Drones will be deployed to monitor key procession routes and assist in managing traffic and crowds. Arrangements for bandobust personnel and VIP movements were also reviewed.
