Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner M.Stephen Raveendra on Saturday held a meeting with officials of the Traffic wing on reorganization of the wing in the Information Technology core area to meet emerging challenges.

This was in view of the tentative return to office of employees in the IT sector in the near future, fatal and non-fatal road accidents, new link roads, volume of traffic, rapid infra developmental works, road safety and other issues.

The Commissioner stressed upon the need for the traffic police personnel to work effectively in coordination with other wings and departments and ensure road accidents are reduced.

Drunk driving, vehicle racing and other dangerous activities must be prevented. The deployment of the police in management of traffic should be perceived by use of technology, deployment of logistics, he told the officials.
