Hyderabad: Transport driver injured in stone attack in Chaitanyapuri
Mohd Azam, a transport auto driver, was attacked with stones and blunt objects by unidentified men in Chaitanyapuri, possibly due to a previous enmity. He was hospitalised at Osmania General Hospital, and police have registered an attempt-to-murder case
Hyderabad: A man was injured after a group of unidentified persons attacked him with stones in Chaitanyapuri on Monday night. A previous enmity is suspected to be the reason for the attack.
The victim, Mohd Azam, a transport auto driver from Saleem Nagar, was walking on the road when the assailants caught him and after a brief argument and attacked him with stones and other blunt weapons.
He suffered severe injuries and was immediately shifted to the Osmania General Hospital for treatment. The Chaitanyapuri police booked a case of attempt to murder and are investigating.
