Hyderabad: Truck drags scooter for 2 kms, driver caught by locals

Hyderabad: A rashly driven truck went out of control and crashed into a scooter, dragging it for a distance of about two kilometres on the road in Shamshabad on the city outskirts on Sunday night. One person was injured in the incident.
As per available information, the incident occurred around 9 pm, when the truck was proceeding towards Shamshabad rural area. The driver, who was driving at a high speed, first rammed into a Honda Activa and dragged it for nearly 2 kilometres while moving on the wrong route.
Locals said a group of youngsters then chased the truck, intercepted it, and forced the driver out before handing him over to the Shamshabad police.
Police are verifying if the driver was drunk at the time of the incident. Further, the person injured in the incident was shifted to a nearby private hospital.
