Hyderabad: The Sanathnagar police have arrested two persons allegedly involved in two different cases of theft and recovered property worth Rs. 2.7 lakh from them.
In the first case, the police arrested one Shaik Ahmed alias Ahmed (23) of Motinagar in Borabanda. He was allegedly involved in a case reported at Narayana Nilayam in Sanathnagar.
“On Thursday, he entered the house of S Avinash at SRT colony in Sanathnagar after breaking open the door lock and took away gold ornaments valued at Rs.1.2 lakh from the cupboard,” Sanathnagar Inspector M Muthu Yadav said.
In another case, the police arrested Thammi Setti Ram, who was allegedly involved in a theft at Sanathnagar three days ago.
“Setti Ram snatched gold ornaments from a woman who was walking on the road. On the description provided by the victim, the crime team identified the suspect and nabbed him,” the Inspector added.
The police recovered property worth Rs. 1.50 lakh from him.
