Hyderabad: Two persons were sentenced to seven years of rigourous imprisonment by a local court in LB Nagar on Monday, for murdering their co-worker in Adibatla in 2019. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 3,000 each on them.

The convicted persons Manbandhu Punji (60) and Niranjan Punji (24), along with the victim Lavan Baag (23), worked at a brick kiln in Ravirala village of Adibatla and natives of Odisha. In March 2019, Lavan Baag, in an inebriated state abused and picked up an argument with the duo who attacked him with a stick, resulting in injuries and his death.
