Hyderabad: Two held in gold theft case, ornaments worth Rs 2.4 lakh seized
The Mangalhat Police arrested two repeat offenders in a gold chain theft case and recovered jewellery worth Rs 2.48 lakh. The accused, involved in several cases across police commissionerates, also confessed to recent thefts in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: The Mangalhat Police on Friday arrested two persons in connection with a gold chain theft case and recovered gold jewellery worth Rs 2.48 lakh from them.
The arrested persons were identified as Upadi Bolenath alias U Bholanath (42) and Mohd Khadeer (26).
Police said both were repeat offenders, with Bolenath involved in 70 cases and Khadeer involved in 66 cases across different police commissionerates.
During questioning, they also confessed to several recent theft cases in Hyderabad and its suburbs.
