Hyderabad: Two killed in road accident at Vanasthalipuram
The two were returning from a fruit market in an autorickshaw when an unidentified vehicle hit them. They succumbed to injuries in OGH
Hyderabad: Two people were killed in a road accident at Vanasthalipuram on Wednesday.
The victims were identified as Syed Ismail (48), a resident of Musheerabad, and Syed Ghouse (40), of Hafeezpet. According to the police, Ismail, Ghouse, Sayeed, and Suleman, had gone to the wholesale fruit market at Hayathnagar in an autorickshaw to purchase the fruits and were on their way back to the city.
Ismail was driving the autorickshaw while Ghouse was seated next to him. “When they reached Sushma Theatre Road, an unidentified vehicle hit the autorickshaw from behind. Ghouse and Ismail were thrown out of the vehicle and both sustained serious injuries. They were rushed to the Osmania General Hospital where they died later,” Vanasthalipuram Inspector Ch Srinivas Rao said.
The police registered a case and were investigating. They were trying to trace the vehicle that hit the autorickshaw.
