Hyderabad: Two teenagers drown in Pantula Cheruvu in Jeedimetla
Two 17-year-old boys, Sagar and Akhilesh, drowned in Pantula Cheruvu at Suraram in Jeedimetla on Tuesday. Police said the teenagers had entered the pond for a swim and did not know how to swim. DRF teams retrieved the bodies.
Hyderabad: Two teenagers who had gone for a swim drowned in Pantula Cheruvu in Suraram, Jeedimetla on Tuesday.
The victims are Sagar (17) and Akhilesh (17), both residents of Suraram.
According to the police, the victims, who were friends, entered the pond for a swim and eventually drowned as they did not know how to swim. On receiving information, the local police reached the spot and alerted the DRF teams, who rushed there and retrieved the two bodies. The police shifted the bodies to the mortuary for post-mortem examination.
