Hyderabad: Two workers die in manhole in Vanasthalipuram
According to information available, Anthaiah and Siva, both residents of Saidabad, were asked by the contractor to clean the manholes in Sahebnagar.
Hyderabad: Two workers who were deployed to clean a sewerage line were feared dead after they entered a manhole at Sahebnagar in Vanasthalipuram on Tuesday night. The body of one was recovered while efforts are on to trace the second person.
According to information available, Anthaiah and Siva, both residents of Saidabad, were asked by the contractor to clean the manholes in Sahebnagar.
Siva, who first entered the manhole, went missing following which Anthaiah got down to help him. Two other workers tried to reach out to Siva and Anthaiah and failed.
Following information, police and fire department officials rushed to the spot and recovered the body of Siva while efforts were on to find Anthaiah.
