Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a two-year-old girl was run over by a car while she was playing in front of her house at Meerpet on Monday.
The girl, Tirumala Balamani, was playing in front of her residence at Bhupesh Gupta Nagar, Karmanghat when a car ran over her. The driver was driving the vehicle in a rash and negligent manner leading to the incident and the death of the girl, said Meerpet police.
A case is registered and an investigation is going on. The body of the girl is shifted to Osmania General Hospital for autopsy. The police seized the car and took the driver into custody.
