Hyderabad: TYAcan Foundation held a run spreading awareness about cancer
The TYAcan Foundation, which is active in addressing the unique needs of cancer patients aged between 18 years and 30 years, said that the event highlighted the importance of early detection, support systems, and advancements in cancer treatments tailored to young adults.

Hyderabad: A run aimed at spreading awareness among general public about cancer among young adults was organised at Necklace Road on Sunday by Teenage and Young Adult Cancer (TYAcan) Foundation.
The run featuring 5K, 10K and 15K events started from Necklace Road and passed through Sanjeevaiah Park and Secretariat. Over 50 senior cancer specialists and 30 amateur runners participated in the run.
The TYAcan Foundation, which is active in addressing the unique needs of cancer patients aged between 18 years and 30 years, said that the event highlighted the importance of early detection, support systems, and advancements in cancer treatments tailored to young adults.
“Events like this help raise critical awareness and create a support network for those who are fighting the battle against cancer,” Dr. Sadashivudu, Head, Oncology, NIMS said. Senior cancer specialists Dr. Meher Lakshmi Dr. Rachana Dr. Raghunath Rao, Dr. MVT Krishna Mohan, Dr. Shiva Kumar and members of TYAcan Foundation were present.
