Hyderabad: Unable to bear harassment from husband, woman kills self in KPHB

For the past two years, the woman's husband has reportedly been harassing Sowjanya, suspecting her fidelity. Following this, a year ago, she had also quit her job and stayed back at home

Hyderabad: Upset over alleged harassment from her husband and in-laws, a woman died by suicide by hanging in her house in KPHB on Tuesday.

According to the police, A Sowjanya (29), was married to S Rajinikanth Reddy and the couple has a three-year-old son. The family stays in KPHB Phase – III.

For the past two years, Rajinikanth has reportedly been harassing Sowjanya, suspecting her fidelity. Following this, a year ago, she had also quit her job and stayed back at home.

However, for the past some days, Sowjanya’s husband and her in-laws have been harassing her over trivial matters. Unable to bear their harassment, she hanged herself from the ceiling fan.

The KPHB police are investigating. Rajinikanth surrendered before the police.
