Hyderabad: TRS legislator from Uppal B Subash Reddy has refuted allegations levelled against him in connection with a property dispute in Jawaharnagar. Countering the registration of a court-referred case against him at the Jawaharnagar police station, Reddy said a case was already registered at the Jawaharnagar police station against those persons who went to court and complained against him.
“They are trying to grab government land worth crores of rupees and I am protecting it so that it can be used for public good,” Reddy said, adding that revenue authorities including the local Tahsildar were attacked by the land-grabber a few weeks ago when they tried to protect the same land parcel. “A case was registered against them on the complaint of local revenue officials. They lodged a counter complaint to threaten and demoralise the officials and me. They are now trying to twist facts. Let the police investigate and the truth will come out,” he added.
The Jawaharnagar police had booked a case against the legislator following a court-referred complaint that he had attacked a few persons who claimed to be owners of the evacuee land.
