Hyderabad: An intermediate student died by suicide at her house in Miyapur as she was reportedly upset over not writing her intermediate exams well.
According to the police, Suma (17) was staying at a hostel in Pattikonda, in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh and recently appeared for intermediate exams. She came to her parents house at Miyapur a couple of days ago and since then she was looking depressed.
The parents of the girl inquired with her the reason and Suma told she did not write the exams well. However, the parents asked her not to worry.
On Tuesday evening, when no one was present in the house, the girl hanged herself using a scarf to the ceiling fan, said an official of Miyapur police station. The parents who noticed her hanging after returning home rushed her to a hospital where doctors pronounced her dead. A case is registered and an investigation is going on.
