Hyderabad Varsity Volleyball League: Qualifiers set for league stage
The Prime Hyderabad Black Hawks Varsity Volleyball League 2025 has launched with over 50 teams, featuring 16 boys’ and 12 girls’ teams who advanced to the main draw, set to compete for the title

Hyderabad: The Prime Hyderabad Black Hawks Varsity Volleyball League 2025 was formally launched at the Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy Indoor Stadium (Yousufguda) here.
Organized by Varsity Sports in partnership with the Hyderabad Black Hawks, the league has brought together over 50 leading IB and CBSE school teams, representing more than 85,000 students across Hyderabad.
Only 16 boys’ teams and 12 girls’ teams advanced to the main draw.
Backed by the Hyderabad Black Hawks — co-owned by youth icon and actor Vijay Deverakonda — the Varsity League will feature 36 high-intensity matches, played under Prime Volleyball League-inspired rules, including the Super Serve and Super Point.
The following boys’ teams have qualified for the upcoming league stage after winning their knockout matches: Pallavi Model School, ISH, Aga Khan School, PAGE Banjara Hills, Sancta Maria School, Manthan School, DPS Nadergul, DPS Nacharam CBSE, Chirec ISRP, Resonance School Kukatpally, Gaudium School, and Future Kids School.
The following girls’ school teams have qualified for the upcoming league stage: Sreenidhi School, DPS Nadergul, Chirec ISRP, Silver Oaks School, Samashti School, and INDUS School.
Over the coming weeks, Hyderabad will witness the League Phase (August 22 – September 24), an All-Star Weekend (September 13), and the Semi-Finals & Grand Finale (September 27–28), where the city’s best school teams will battle for the inaugural championship title.
