Hyderabad: Members of Hyderabad-based Blood Donor Life Saver Foundation have donated Rs 85,300 for a heart surgery of an infant baby girl. The infant was born in a private hospital in Hyderabad on July 25 with a congenital heart defect and was shifted to KIMS Hospital for the life-saving surgery.

While a total of Rs 5 to Rs lakh is needed for the surgery, the infant’s father, Chintakindi Srinivas, who works as a driver, has managed to raise Rs 2 lakh, according to a press release.

Later, Srinivas reached out to the president of Blood Donor Life Saver Foundation, Sunil Dhoota, who immediately mobilised donations worth Rs 85,300 in a span of two-days. On Friday, the amount was handed over to the infant’s father at KIMS Hospital by Sunil Dhoota of Life Saver Foundation.
