Hyderabad: The monsoon is continuing on a steady note in the city, with Tuesday night witnessing rains across Hyderabad. While most parts of the city recorded light rainfall, according to the India Meteorological Department, the average rainfall recorded in the city on Tuesday night was 22 mm.
According to data from automatic weather stations (AWS) of the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), the city saw light to moderate rainfall, with most places receiving light rainfall, between 1.0 mm and 15 mm of rainfall.
However, some places like Marredpally, Khairatabad and Trimulgherry received moderate rainfall. A rainfall of 29.8 and 29.2 mm was recorded at two different AWS locations in Marredpally while the AWS near Borabanda, under Khairatabad limits recorded a rainfall of 21.3 mm. Trimulgherry saw the highest rainfall for the night, with 51.3 mm, putting it on the border of heavy rainfall.
On Wednesday from around noon, the city saw isolated rainfall with Bandlaguda recording the highest rainfall of 14.8 mm. Bahadurpura, Himayatnagar and Kapra too recorded light showers. The minimum temperature on Tuesday night hovered between 22.8 and 25.1 degree Celsius and the same is expected on Wednesday night as well.
The IMD has forecast cloudy skies and spells of rain for Thursday with a possible clear sky on Friday. The maximum temperature is expected to be 31 degree Celsius in the city over the next couple of days.
