Hyderabad Water Board goes paperless with e-Office

The Hyderabad water board has rolled out an e-Office system to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability across its offices. Managing Director K Ashok Reddy announced that the initiative will be fully implemented in all departments.

Hyderabad: To improve efficiency, transparency, accountability and service standards in its offices, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) has adopted paperless administration and launched an e-Office.

HMWSSB Managing Director, K Ashok Reddy, who launched e-Office at Khairatabad, said the concept would be fully implemented in all the offices of the water board. The e-office system will enable quick resolution of files and also increase accountability in administration, he said.

The officials were directed that every file should not be received manually and be sent through the e-Office. The key objectives of e-office implementation include an increase in operational efficiency, reducing processing time of files and improving record management. Apart from secure digital storage along with easy access for reference whenever required, it will also improve coordination between departments.
