Hyderabad: Water supply hit in parts of Manikonda, Narsingi due to junction works
Water supply to certain areas of Manikonda and Narsingi was disrupted due to junction works on the Narsingi main road. HMWSSB Managing Director K Ashok Reddy inspected the site, flagged safety lapses and reviewed reservoir and STPs works at TNGO Colony.
Hyderabad: The water supply to certain areas of Manikonda and Narsingi was experiencing disruption due to ongoing junction works on the Narsingi main road in Manikonda.
The HMWSSB Managing Director, K Ashok Reddy, who inspected the ongoing junction works, noticed that no safety measures were taken at the work site and warned the contractor to implement all necessary safety measures, such as barricading, and to complete the work within the stipulated time frame. The junction work commenced after residents of the Lansum Eldorado applied for a new water connection, said an official release.
Ashok Reddy also visited the new reservoir and STPs construction works at the TNGO Colony area. In the next two years, it is estimated that water can be supplied to areas in the TNGO Colony without the need for pumping, through the reservoirs to be constructed in the colony.
