Hyderabad weather alert: Rain and thundershowers expected all day on Friday
The IMD has forecast rain and thundershowers across Hyderabad and several Telangana districts throughout Friday, with gusty winds and lower temperatures. Independent trackers also warned of on-and-off showers across the city, urging residents to prepare for wet weather conditions.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad should prepare for a wet Friday, as the weather forecasts indicate spells of rain and thunderstorms throughout the day.
The IMD-Hyderabad’s Friday morning forecast indicates light-to-moderate showers interspersed with intense thundershowers, gusty winds, and low temperatures in multiple districts throughout the day.
In a more immediate forecast, valid until 10 am to 11 am on Friday, the IMD-Hyderabad posted on X: “Light rain and thunderstorms with maximum surface wind speed less than 40 kmph very likely to occur in Hyderabad, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Karimnagar, Mahabubabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Rajanna Siricilla and Suryapet districts for the next 2 to 3 hours.”
Independent weather trackers also expect the wet conditions to last all day with weather forecaster, T. Balaji posted on X “Dear people of Hyderabad, next round of moderate-heavy rainfall ahead in Hyderabad for the next 2 hours. Plan accordingly today whole day we have on and off rain.”
