Hyderabad: With day temperature just shy of 30 degrees Celsius and cloud cover dominating the skies, Hyderabad saw a pleasant Saturday.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the average maximum temperature in the city was 29.9 degrees Celsius. The automatic weather stations (AWS) run by the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) recorded temperatures between 28 and 30.5 degrees Celsius with the one at Khairatabad recording city’s highest for the day — 30.5 degrees Celsius.
The average minimum temperature, on Friday night, was 23.4 degrees Celsius, according to IMD’s weather report. The AWS at Jubilee Hills, Alwal, Moosapet, Chandanagar and Serlingampally recorded temperatures lower than that while Chandanagar and Serilingampally saw the lowest maximum temperatures on Friday night at 22.8 degrees Celsius. Hayathnagar recorded the highest minimum temperature at 24.7 degrees Celsius.
The TSDPS also forecasts a similar weather pattern in the city over the next couple of days. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 31 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature is expected to hover between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius. Both IMD and TSDPS forecast cloudy skies over the weekend and both forecast light rain or drizzle.
