Hyderabad: A young woman who was involved in a burglary case reported earlier this month, was arrested by the Jagadgirigutta police on Friday.

Officials recovered stolen gold ornaments worth Rs 2.2 lakh.

The arrested suspect was identified as Arohi alias Baby (21) from Madhuranagar in Sanathnagar and a native of Uttar Pradesh. She was involved in burglaries earlier and was jailed too.

Police said Arohi who earlier worked as a saleswoman visiting houses, noticed that the residents of many houses were concealing the keys in the flower pots, shoe racks or helmets outside their houses.

As per her plan, she burgled a house at Allwyn Colony in Jagadgirigutta and stole ornaments worth Rs 2.2 lakh on July 18.

Based on a complaint, the Jagadgirigutta police booked a case and with the help of CCTV footages, identified and nabbed her.
