Hyderabad woman duped by self-styled Godman in ritual scam, police launches manhunt
According to available information, Sai Raj ‘Guruji’, who operates Sri Renuka Yellamma Thalli Jyothishyalayam in Nagole, was recently approached by the woman seeking help with family issues, and he assured her that he could resolve them.

Hyderabad: A woman approached the Nagole police alleging she was cheated by a self-proclaimed godman who promised to provide solutions to her problems by performing rituals.
As per available information, Sai Raj ‘Guruji’ who runs Sri Renuka Yellamma Thalli Jyothishyalayam in Nagole, who was approached by the woman recently with family problems, assured to solve them.
Claiming that some rituals and pujas needed to be performed, Sai Raj allegedly collected about five tolas gold ornaments and cash of Rs 35,000 from her.
However, after receiving the valuables, neither did the godman perform any puja nor did he return the valuables to the complainant. Moreover, he switched off his mobile phone and went absconding.
Based on the complaint, the Nagole police have booked a case and took up investigation. Efforts are on to nab Sai Raj, who is currently absconding.
The police have requested all the victims to come forward and lodge a complaint.
