Hyderabad: Woman electrocuted while washing clothes at Talab Katta

A 30-year-old woman from Maharashtra died after suffering an electric shock while washing clothes at her sister's house in Hyderabad's Bhawani Nagar. Despite receiving treatment at a private hospital and later Osmania General Hospital, she succumbed. Police registered a case

Hyderabad: A 30-year-old woman died after suffering an electric shock while washing clothes at a house in Bhawani Nagar, Talab Katta, on Saturday.

The woman was identified as Tahera Bee, a native of Osmanabad district of Maharashtra. She had been staying at her sister’s residence in Bhavani Nagar.

According to police, Tahera Bee came into contact with an electric current while washing clothes at the house. Family members immediately rushed her to a nearby private hospital, where she was administered first aid. As her condition remained critical, she was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for advanced treatment.

Despite the efforts of doctors, she succumbed to her injuries shortly after being admitted to the hospital.

The body has been shifted for postmortem examination at Osmania General Hospital. A case is registered.
