Hyderabad: Woman ends life while on video call with husband

The police was informed and after preliminary enquiry, the body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.

Hyderabad: A woman ended her life at Rajendranagar while on a WhatsApp video call with her husband in Bengaluru.

The woman identified as Naga Devi, 25, was living in an apartment in the Rajendranagar police station limits and was married to Sai Shiva, works with an MNC in Bengaluru. They were married a year ago and since then, Shiva shuttled between the city and Bengaluru on weekends.


“On Wednesday evening, she made a WhatsApp video call to her husband and an argument took place between them as she felt he was not taking proper care of her. She hanged herself to the ceiling fan in the house while he was watching,” said S Kanakaiah, SHO (Rajendranagar).

Her husband immediately informed their relatives who rushed to the spot. The police was informed and after preliminary enquiry, the body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.

A case has been booked and investigation is on.
