Hyderabad: Woman, father killed in road accident in Mailardevpally days before wedding

A 21-year-old woman and her father were killed after a container vehicle allegedly hit their motorcycle on Katedan Road in Mailardevpally on Wednesday night. The woman’s wedding was reportedly scheduled for early next month, police said.

Hyderabad: A 21-year-old woman and her father were killed in a road accident on Katedan Road in Mailardevpally on Wednesday night, just a week before the woman’s scheduled wedding.

The victims were identified as Bushra Begum (21) and her father Ismail (48), residents of Attapur.

According to police, the father and daughter were travelling on a motorcycle when the accident occurred. An eyewitness, Sohel, said a container vehicle was travelling at high speed when it hit the motorcycle and ran over the victims.

Both Bushra and Ismail died on the spot. The accident left the family devastated as Bushra’s wedding was reportedly scheduled to take place early next month.

On receiving information, Mailardevpally police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to Osmania General Hospital for postmortem examination.

Police registered a case and launched an investigation into the accident.
