Hyderabad: Woman hacked to death by husband in Ibrahimpatnam
A 30-year-old woman was allegedly hacked to death by her husband in Nomula village, Ibrahimpatnam, on Tuesday. Police said the accused was under the influence of alcohol. A case has been registered and efforts are underway to trace him.
Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a woman was hacked to death with an axe allegedly by her husband at their house in Nomula village in Ibrahimpatnam on the city outskirts on Tuesday.
According to information available, the suspect, identified as Madharmoni Babu, attacked his wife, Amrutha (30), at their residence on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the man was reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the assault. Before carrying out the attack, he allegedly locked their daughter-in-law in a separate room and then committed the crime.
Neighbours, alerted by suspicious circumstances, informed the police, who rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the hospital for autopsy.
Police are investigating to ascertain the motive behind the murder. Efforts are on to nab Babu.
