Hyderabad: Woman kills children, ends life over family disputes
Teja died on the spot due to grievous injuries after she jumped from the sixth floor of an apartment in Quthbullapur
Hyderabad: A woman, who allegedly was perturbed over family disputes, hacked her two children to death and then died by jumping from a multi-storey building at Balaji Layout in Quthbullapur on Thursday.
According to the police, the woman identified as Teja (30), who was staying with her family in an apartment, was upset over the disputes in the family. There were also frequent arguments with her husband over trivial issues.
Allegedly upset over this, on Thursday, Teja first hacked her two sons Harshith Reddy (11) and Ashish Reddy (8) with a sickle in the house. After confirming that they had died, she rushed out of the house and jumped from the sixth floor of the apartment.
“She fell on the ground and died on the spot due to grievous injuries. Local residents rushed to the spot, but the woman and her two children were dead by then,” said an official.
On being alerted, the Jeedimetla police reached the spot and began investigation.
