Hyderabad woman kills mother over petty dispute in SR Nagar

Hyderabad: An 82-year-old woman was bludgeoned to death by her daughter allegedly over a trivial matter at their house in SR Nagar on Tuesday.

As per available information, the woman, Laxmi, was living with her daughter Madhavi (42) at Leela Nagar. It is learnt that for the past few days, there had been arguments between the mother and daughter over petty issues.

After one such argument, Madhavi is believed to have picked up an iron rod and attacked Laxmi with it. Laxmi sustained bleeding injuries and died on the spot. Neighbours alerted the police and Madhavi was taken into custody.

The SR Nagar police are investigating.
