Hyderabad: A 23-year-old woman died after jumping from the third floor of a private office building in the CBCID Colony at Kukatpally, under the KPHB police station limits on Thursday night.

The woman identified as Anita, a native of Maddinayanipalli village in Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh had been residing in Hyderabad and was working in a private firm.

Anita got married in 2021 to Srinivas, a resident of Bachupally, and the couple has a young daughter.
On Thursday, she jumped from the third floor of the office building where she worked, suffering serious multiple bleeding injuries.

She was immediately shifted to a local private hospital in Nizampet for treatment. However, she later died while undergoing treatment.

Police said Anita had been suffering from health-related issues for some time and was under mental stress. Her mother, in her complaint to the police, stated that her daughter may have taken the extreme step due to prolonged illness and distress.

The KPHB police have registered a case and taken up an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the incident.
