Hyderabad: Woman police constable critical after suicide attempt in Uppal
A 32-year-old woman police constable is in critical condition after an alleged suicide attempt in Uppal. Police suspect family-related issues behind the incident. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
Hyderabad: A woman police constable suffered grievous injuries after allegedly attempting to die by suicide by jumping from a three-storied residential building in Padmavati Colony in Uppal on Monday.
The injured has been identified as Prameela (32), a 2020-batch police constable currently working at the Nacharam Police Station.
Preliminary information suggested that she took the extreme step following ongoing family-related problems.
Locals alerted the police after the incident, following which she was rushed to a nearby private hospital for emergency treatment.
Doctors said she suffered severe injuries and her condition remains critical. The Uppal police have registered a case and are investigating to determine the exact reasons behind the incident.
