Hyderabad: A woman patient was found hanging in the ward where she was being treated at a private hospital in Bandlaguda in Rajendranagar on Tuesday. She is suspected to have been upset and died by suicide.

The victim, identified as Sudeepthi (28), a techie from Hydershakote in Narsingi, was recently admitted to the hospital after she complained of ill health and uneasiness.

According to the police, Sudeepthi who was being treated at Room No.103 of the hospital building is suspected to have hanged from the ceiling fan in the ward, in the absence of her family members and hospital staff.

When the hospital staff came to her ward, she was found hanging. The staff who alerted the police tried to rescue her, but she had died by then. The Rajendranagar police booked a case and started investigation.
