Hyderabad: Woman techie found dead in hostel room at Gachibowli

Chinthala Yamini (27), a software professional from Khammam, was found hanging in her room at a ladies hostel in Gachibowli on Tuesday night. Police said she was alone at the time. A case has been registered and investigation is underway

Hyderabad: A woman software professional died by suicide at a ladies hostel in Gachibowli on Tuesday night.

The woman, Chinthala Yamini (27), stayed at a private ladies hostel in Gachibowli. She was a native of Khammam district.


On Tuesday evening, her roommate Tejaswini went to the office while Yamini stayed back at the hostel. In the evening, when Tejaswini returned, she found the door of the room latched from inside and Yamini not responding to calls.

The hostel security staff broke open the door and found the woman hanging from the ceiling fan, said the police.

A case was registered and efforts are on to ascertain the reasons that prompted the woman to end her life.
